There are lots of opportunities to do your own electrical work on your TJ. There are also lots of opportunities to do it wrong (this usually means taking short cuts and doing sloppy work). So take your time, do your research, and use quality components when you do your electrical wiring projects. There is nothing more frustrating than having to trouble shoot an electrical problem out on the trail. Do it right the first time and enjoy your self on the trail, trouble free! If you are not sure about doing a modification, consult a friend that has good automotive electrical skills and pick up some pointers while he/she helps you.

Electrical gremlins got you stuck in the mud? Sort them out by eliminating the cheap stuff from eBay and start using name-brand jeep parts. Use quality electrical relays and switches when wiring up your jeep lights. Illuminate the trail in front of you with some auxiliary off road lights and light bars. Cut through the haze with amber-yellow fog lights and let your fellow trailblazers know when to slow down by flashing some fancy aftermarket tail lights. |
